TG* TV Grammy Weekend DOUBLE FEATURE (Eps. 9 and 10)

As I prepared to enter the mixing phase of the mysterious #Album2, I knew I still wanted to deliver content and stay creative. Due to coronavirus concerns, the Grammy Awards were pushed back to mid-March from the normal date on the last Sunday in January. So I figured I’d pop out with a 2-for-1 of TG* TV episodes during the weekend leading up to Grammy night.

Ep. 9: Neon Guts I had Lil Uzi Vert’s and Pharrell’s Luv Is Rage 2 collab “Neon Guts” in mind for a while. The verse I wrote was among my favorites since starting this series. Given the unseasonably warm weather over the weekend, it felt timely and more fun than previous verses.

Ep. 10: Black Grammys For the 2nd part of my TG* TV double feature I wanted to do something more topical as I would release this one the morning of the Grammys. I reflected on the eerie circumstances surrounding last year’s ceremony, how our lives changed shortly after and how my feelings on the award have changed over time. As far as the instrumental, “Black Grammys” (Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill, J. Cole and Rockie Fresh) was the only option for me if I was going to talk about the Grammys. Still a great posse cut 8 years later.
